This is a step-by-step blueprint for creating a successful home staging business in three phases:

  • 12-month Online Training

You will have access to the world class training portal from when you sign up. Classes start in earnest from 30 January and continue for 44 weeks to 11 December 2019. 

  • 4-day Immersion Event

Week 15 is when the 4-day immersion event will be held on Australia's beautiful Gold Coast. This will take place from 5pm Monday, 20 May, to 5 pm Friday, 24 May, 2019.

  • Certification 

Final assessments are due to be submitted no later than 4 December 2019. Final accreditations and acknowledgements will be awarded  to participants on 11 December 2019. 

Time is of the essence with the Home Staging Business Blueprint  course. 

You will have access to the world class training portal from when you sign up prior to 30 January 2019. The program starts in earnest from 30 January and continues for 44 weeks to 11 December 2019.

The first assessment is due at Week 22 and final assessment at Week 43. To ensure timely completion, commit to 1.5 hours per day to work on the course or 7-10 hours per week. 

Weekly email alerts highlight the online materials and face-to-face Masterclasses that will be the focus of each week's lesson. 

Remember, week 15 is when the 4-day immersion event will be held on Australia's beautiful Gold Coast. This is a required component for accreditation and will take place from 5pm Monday, 20 May, to 5 pm Friday, 24 May, 2019.

Great question! This is an intensive program and you should follow along in real time as much as possible because there is a lot to creating business success.

Assessment 2: Staging Practical & Portfolio

1.  Submit links with each property address along with proof of payment received for staging a minimum of one of each of the following: 

2-Hour Consultation

Partial Home Staging

Vacant Home Staging

2.  Set up your business portfolio with before and after photos and client and/or agent testimonials.

Unfortunately no extensions past the due dates are available for these submissions.

Skills and Abilities

No. Home staging represents a unique visual marketing skill set which is different from the study of decoration or design.

While previous experience and study in any of the design disciplines can only benefit you, it is not essential for success in this course as we train students in specific skills designed to achieve home staging business success. 

A general level of skill in using Word, Excel and Powerpoint, or their equivalents, should allow you to complete the core course modules.  

Home Staging can be a physically demanding job that may pose particular challenges and obstacles for people with arthritis, asthma,  eczema, allergies and neck, shoulder and back pain, or related conditions.

An in-home consultation may require you to carry out manual or physical activities as part of your day-to-day business, for example:

  • moving furniture
  • climbing ladders
  • pushing/pulling objects
  • doing tasks where bending, kneeling or squatting are required
  • doing tasks with repetitive actions
  • being in dusty environments
  • being exposed to pet dander, etc.

The fitter and healthier you are, the better you'll be able to cope with the physical aspects of having a home staging business. Please consult your physician before starting the program if you have any health concerns or pre-existing conditions that may preclude you from performing in-home staging tasks. 

Generally, home staging would not be considered a desirable career if you are colour blind. 

As long as your overall health and physical fitness levels are appropriate to the level of physical exertion described as part of the home staging process, age should not be a barrier to undertaking the course.

  • You hope to learn without studying. HSBB is for those who are ready to take action, follow the steps in the Blueprint and want to keep moving toward their personal goals.
